About

Dr. Ivan Edwards is the author of Resonance of the Soul - Flowers and Harmonics, a poetic exploration of love, growth, healing, motivation, inspiration, and resilience.

He embodies a unique blend of physician, ordained minister, military officer, and writer, all united by a mission to serve, heal, and inspire.

As a board-certified physiatrist, Dr. Edwards has spent over two decades specializing in rehabilitation medicine, neurorehabilitation, and minimally invasive pain management. His patient-centered approach empowers individuals to take an active role in their healing journey.

In uniform, he serves as a Lieutenant Colonel and Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, trained in Aerospace Medicine. His military service reflects his commitment to protecting and uplifting others.

Spiritually grounded, Dr. Edwards is also an ordained minister, addressing the emotional and spiritual dimensions of care.   His humanitarian work spans child sponsorship programs in Uganda, community resilience initiatives, and environmental advocacy—championing the well-being of future generations.

As a free verse poet, he channels his experiences into nonfiction that bridges medicine, faith, and service. His work invites readers to reflect, rise, and reclaim their inner strength.

A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a commissioned Kentucky Colonel, Dr. Edwards continues to impact lives across multiple spheres—through healing, storytelling, and public advocate.

“I write not to impress, but to undress the wounds we hide—so healing can begin.” Dr. Ivan Edwards.

Do what is right.

Speak what is true.

Give what is good.

And you will reap what aligns with it.

Some call it karma. Others call it divine justice.

But the principle is universal: You get what you plant.

If you sow bitterness, you’ll harvest isolation.

If you sow kindness, you’ll harvest connection.

If you sow discipline, you’ll harvest progress.

If you sow love, you’ll harvest legacy.

So, plant wisely.

Even when no one’s watching.

Even when it’s hard.

Even when the soil looks dry.

Because the...

Abigail (not her real name), a spirited 49-year-old, faced a tough blow when she fell at home, fracturing both ankles and her right hip. Despite her past battles with breast cancer, depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, and weight gain, she remained positive.

When I first met her, she was in good spirits, joking with nurses and sharing stories about her family. Her resilience was inspiring.

After surgery, she faced the challenge of rehabilitation, determined to regain her strength and...

Chapter 1: Deep In The Valley

It was inevitable. Peter saw it coming, but that did not soften the blow.

The dim candlelight danced between him and Jean, casting restless shadows across the table—mirroring the unease between them. The restaurant hummed with quiet conversations, yet their corner booth felt like another world, drenched in silence, thick and suffocating.

"I just think… maybe we’re at different places in life," Jean finally said, her voice careful, each word measured like...
